Save maintenance and hardware costs!
Replace your Hydraulic Numerical Controller (HNC) unit with an EBNER software solution!

Save maintenance and hardware cots – replace your Hydraulic Numeric Controller (HNC) unit with an EBNER software solution!
Our software solution, referred to as “pusher mechanism synchronization control”, was developed by EBNER and has already been successfully implemented at several customers’ facilities. Due to the fact that HNC devices will no longer be manufactured in their original forms, this is the perfect time to step up to this state-of-the-art solution and EBNER technology.
This kind of rebuild / software upgrade is carried out by the EBNER team, and will allow your facility to operate without an HNC unit.
This is how the EBNER software solution works
In this solution, synchronization is carried out using a master/slave system. That is, for control purposes one cylinder is defined as the “master” and the other as the “slave”. The master cylinder is controlled by the PLC using an EBNER-developed speed control system, in which the PLC actuates proportional control valves. The PLC uses field bus devices to read the current position of the master cylinder from the position sensor, and this position is then transferred to the slave cylinder as a setpoint. A standard software controller regulates movement of the slave cylinder into this position, ensuring that positions of the master and slave are synchronized. If a significant difference in position is detected, an alarm message is issued and automatic operation stops.
One step ahead!
As you can imagine, this technology will ensure that you are one step ahead. It has been successfully installed in numerous facilities throughout the world, and has been thoroughly tested in long-term operation. As hardware and spares are no longer required, you save maintenance time, costs and facility downtimes!
Your advantages:
- HNC units are completely eliminated – there is no need for hardware or to have spares in storage
- HNC parameterization software (WIN-PED) is no longer required
- Expertise with HNC unit is no longer required
- Easy-to-use PLC logic without an HNC black box
- Position encoder connected to the PLC via field bus
- Valves controlled by the PLC
- No need for synchronization control when retracting
- Parameterization can be carried out through your existing HMI (if possible); if not it is carried out through the PLC
- On-line access and (in case of malfunction) interventions are possible at any time through the PLC
