Industrial furnaces are constantly having to meet higher and higher requirements. On the one hand, there are commercial aspects that must be addressed – such as the need to increase output and improve product quality. On the other hand, it is absolutely necessary that we fulfill our responsibilities to the environment.

For those of us in the EBNER GROUP, sustainability is what drives us to be innovative. As a part of our commitment to “driving green technologies”, we have always been striving to develop facilities with extremely high degrees of energy efficiency.

One of the points we have focused on is the development of electric heating systems, an area in which we have been accumulating know-how for over 75 years.

This has led to a wide range of benefits for our customers:

  • We enable green steel heat treatment à reduce CO2 and NOx for a carbon-neutral future
  • User-friendly process: automatic coupling of the control and power supply lines connecting a heating bell to the main power supply
  • Existing facilities can be upgraded: the upgrade of a heating bell from a (natural) gas-fired to an electric heating system is straightforward
  • Reduced maintenance costs due to the increased inner cover service life provided by improved temperature distribution à positive influence on components exposed to thermal stresses

Over 150 of our electric heating bells are currently in service.
