EBNER Furnaces, Inc. is a global manufacturer of large industrial annealing furnaces, pressure vessels, and custom metal fabrications. Due to growth in the U.S. operations, we are seeking a qualified individual for the following position: 

Engineer – Installation, Commissioning & Service

Job Duties: 

• Develop EBNER Furnaces’ strategies and assist with company management.

• Responsible for the technical competence of their Installation Supervisors and contractors and play an active role in maintaining and improving customer satisfaction as well as the company’s position in the market as a technology leader.

• Directly contribute to cost-efficiency and profitability. Plan and direct installation activities.

• Read and interpret blueprints and circuit diagrams for the electrical and electronic systems, mechanical systems, atmosphere systems, combustion systems, heat and cooling systems.

• Use and apply DIN (“Deutschees Institu fur Normung” or “German Institute of Standardization) and ISO (International Organization for Standards).

• Facilitate and oversee the installation of Various type of Heat treatment furnaces for Steel, Aluminum & Cupper Industries such as Vertical Annealing Furnace, Bell Annealing Furnace, Batch-type furnaces, Pusher-type furnaces. Supervising and coordinating skilled trades people and outside contractors installing mechanics, piping, electrical and instrumentation.

• Supervise functional tests on heat-treating furnaces prior to commissioning furnaces. Interface with customers to solve equipment problems, coordinate activities with corporate headquarters, support innovation efforts and implement innovation projects, manage worker safety programs, support project planning and scheduling, plan resource and capacities, make sure deadlines are met and the calculated budget is not exceeded, and ensure quality.

• Define and communicate consistent priorities and set department goals, exercise decision-making and action in a pro-active manner, support employees in reaching goals; guide and provide feedback, contribute to EF management’s team decisions.

• Professional Competence and Authority: Specify all requirements for the equipment being built and responsible for all Installation related activities at EBNER Furnaces.

• Travel to various undetermined U.S. and international customer sites 60% of the time.

Requirements:

• Must have 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related, including 2 years of experience with: reading and interpreting blueprints and circuit diagrams for the electrical and electronic systems, mechanical systems, atmosphere systems, combustion systems, heating systems, and cooling systems

• Using and applying DIN (“Deutschees Institu fur Normung” or “German institute of Standardization) and ISO (International Organization for Standards)

• Facilitating and overseeing the installation of various types of heat treatment furnaces for steel, aluminum & copper industries such as Vertical Annealing Furnace, Bell Annealing Furnace, Batch-type furnaces, Pusher-type furnaces

• Supervising and coordinating skilled trades people and outside contractors installing mechanics, piping, electrical and instrumentation

• Supervising functional tests on heat-treating furnaces prior to commissioning.

• Must be willing to traveled to various undetermined U.S. and international customer sites 60% of the time
