Max W. Claas adds wire annealing capacity

HICON/H2® bell annealer facility

At the WIRE 2016 trade fair, EBNER received an order from Max. W. Claas of Germany for another HICON/H2® bell annealer facility to heat treat steel wire coils in hydrogen atmosphere.

The quality and reliability of our facilities and excellent customer service were key ordering this fifth EBNER furnace facility.

The gas-fired facility comprises 2 workbases with state-of-the-art technology, allowing most of the operating sequence to be carried out automatically. It also incorporates a new VISUAL FURNACES®6 Process Control System.

The workbases are designed to have a clear inside diameter of 4200 mm and to accept charges up to 65 metric tons.

The heat of the exhaust gas will now also be used to heat the existing wire pickling unit. The technology for this system will also be supplied by EBNER.

The new bell annealer facility for wire is slated to begin production in April 2017.
