The HICON® drop-bottom furnace facility meets all the specifications of the aerospace industry regarding the speed at which each sequence is carried out (opening and moving the furnace plug, lowering the charge into the quench). Even very long charges can be processed to achieve the best possible results. EBNER has already supplied facilities to handle charges up to 20 m long.
In contrast to the vertical furnace configuration described above, it is also possible to heat treat and quench charges of this kind using a horizontal HICON® roller-hearth furnace. This furnace facility is configured in the same way to the proven HICON® roller-hearth furnace for aluminum plates and sheets.
The facility can be implemented to comply with the standards required by the automotive and aerospace industry. These standards are primarily AMS 2750E (SAE Aerospace) in the aircraft industry and CQI-9 (AIAG) for the automotive industry.
